Vegetable Fried Rice (Indo Chinese)

This variety of Vegetable Fried Rice is not actually a Chinese dish this is a Indo Chinese style recipe.


  • Chinese Veg Fried Rice3 cups cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup Onion sliced thinly
  • 1/4 cup Carrots
  • 1/2 cup Green peas
  • 1/4 cup Green Beans
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, peeled and minced
  • 1/4 cup Onion sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce to taste
  • 1/4 cup Cabbage
  • 1/4 cup Celery
  • 1/4 cup Green Beans
  • 1/8 tsp Vinegar (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 tsp Chilli sauce to taste (Optional)
  • Salte

Preparation Method:

Heat a frying pan in high heat. Make sure all the ingredients are already. Add the sesame oil, scallion whites,  peeled and minced ginger and garlic.
Stir for a minute the aroma starts wafting, add Red Bell Pepper, Green peas, Green Beans, Carrots and Cabbage. Make sure nothing burns given that you are cooking in high heat. You want the vegetables to be cooked but still crunchy which is why it is important to chop the vegetables into small pieces . Keep stirring for nearly one minute  add the rice and stir until everything mixes properly.
Next add soy sauce chilli sauce and stir for the flavors to combine. Make sure you don’t stir it too much because  it might make the rice mushy. If it looks dry add oil.

Serve garnished with scallion greens. It tastes best when hot. Enjoy them with Gobi Manchurian, Baby Corn Manchurian, Vegetable Manchurian or any other choice.
