Ragi Dosa Recipe

This Ragi Dosa Recipe is very rich in calcium so this is good for women and children. This Ragi Dosa is famous in Karnataka state.

Ingredients (1 cup = 250 ml)ragi-dosa

  • Ragi flour – 1 cup.
  • Wheat flour- 4 tablespoon
  • Rice flour- 4 tablespoon
  • Urad dal – ¼ cup.
  • Chiroti rava – ½ cup.
  • Moong dal – 1 tablespoon
  • Methi seeds – tablespoon
  • Onions – 2 nos finely chopped
  • Chana dal – 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves
  • Green chillies finely chopped -2 nos.
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste.

Preparation Method:

Wash urad dal, methi seeds,moong dal and chana dal and soak them in water for five to six hours.
Grind all the dals using a wet grinder into a paste.Transfer  batter to a Vessel and mix ragi, rice, wheat flours and chiroti rava and mix well by adding some water add salt to your taste to make a thin pourable batter.
Now add grinded paste onions,coriander leaves,and green chillies to the batter cover it with a lid  and keep it aside for overnight.

Heat a tawa and coat it with little oil. Take a ladle full of ragi batter and pour it on the tawa and spread the batter on tawa in a round shape, apply little oil around dosa  flip and cook another side. Cook till both sides turn to golden brown.Crispy Ragi dosa is ready you can serve with coconut chutney and vegetable sambar.
