Ingredients Aloo Curry:
1/2 kg potatoes, boiled and cubed
1 slit green chilli
2 tomatoes (make paste)
pinch of haldi, turmeric
1 tsp red chilli powder (adjust to your choice)
1 tbsp jaggery (adjust to your choice)
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
small lemon sized tamarind, extract juice
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
fresh coriander leaves for garnish
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 dry red chillis
3-4 crushed garlic cloves
Few Curry Leaves
Bangaladumpa Pulusu Preparation Method:
Take potatoes and peel the skin clean and boil the potatoes. Chop onions, green chillies and keep it aside. Now heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, curry leaves, garlic and red chillies.
Take onions and make it a fine paste and fry the onion paste, green chillies till the raw smell goes away. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder mix it well.
Add tomatoes and cook them till it gets soft. Now add the boiled potatoes to it and cook it on a medium flame and now add salt, little jaggery to it.
Mix well and add tamarind water to get pulusu. Cover with the lid let it cook for some time. Add coriander leaves for garnishing. Serve hot Bangaladumpa Pulusu with steam rice or chapatti.
