How to Make Chukkakura Pachadi | Khatti Palak Chutney

Ingredients to make Chukkakura Pachadi:

3 big bunches chukka kura

3-4 green chillis (adjust to your taste)

2 tsps cumin seeds

3-4 garlic cloves

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

1/2 tsp cumin seeds (optional)

1 tsp dal/minapappu (urad/split black gram dal)

1 tsp senaga pappu (channa dal)- optional

1-2 dry red chillis

few fresh curry leaves

1 tsp oil

Chukkakura Chutney Preparation Method:

Take a big bunch of chukka kura and carefully wash each leaf with hand to remove any sand. Take a pan and add some oil to it and fry the green chillies and remove them from the flame and cool them. Now in the same pan add the finely chopped chukkakura leaves and sauté them for five to ten minutes to remove the rawness. Now turn off the heat and let them cool.

Take a jar and add cumin seeds, some garlic cloves and some fried green chillies and grind them into a coarse paste. Now add the mixture to the fried chukka kura leaves and add some salt and mix thoroughly to make it a paste. Now add some oil to a pan and add the mustard seeds and fry them. Take some cumin seeds and urad dal and some chana dal and fry them till they turn red. Now add some curry leaves and red chllies and fry them. Mix them well and let them cool for a few seconds.

Take all these fried ingredients and add them to the chutney and mix well. You can eat Chukkakura Pachadi with rice and some onion and ghee.
