Serves for 3 persons
- 2½ cups Steamed Rice (Basmati)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped Carrots
- 1 Green Chilli
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped Ginger
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped Garlic
- 1/2 cup finely chopped Cabbage
- 1 Onion
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
- 2 stalks Spring Onion (green onion), finely chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped French Beans
- 1 tablespoon Soya sauce
- 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil
- Salt to taste
Cut onion into thin slices and finely chop green chillis.
Heat oil in a frying pan in medium heat and saute green chilli, sliced onion, chopped ginger and garlic saute them for one or 2 minutes.
Add cabbage, spring onion, carrot and French beans and stir-fry them for 2 to 3 minutes. Make sure that the vegetables are not over cooked, they should be slightly crispy but not soft. Now add black pepper powder, soya sauce and salt to taste and mix.
Add already prepared steamed rice and mix gently. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat. Do not stir too much otherwise rice grains may break.
Turn off heat and take Chinese fried rice to a serving bowl. Serve hot with manchurian gravy.
