Beans Patoli Fry Recipe | How to make Beans Patoli Vepudu
Beans are rich in fiber. It gives protein requirement. These beans are green in colour.It is good for reducing cardiovascular disease, colon cancer, diabetes, immune system. It contains vitamin A, B, D and Phosphorus.
Ingredients for Beans Patoli
1 cup of chopped french beans (cut into 1″ pieces and blanched in salted water)
1 big onion chopped
1 cup Channa dal (senaga pappu/bengal gram) soaked in water for 2 hours
2 green chillis slit length wise
10 curry leaves
1/2 mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal (minapappu/black gram)
2 whole dry red chillis
1″ piece ginger
Pinch of turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Beans Patoli Prepration Method:
1) Take some chana dal and soak it in water. Keep it aside cut the beans into small pieces. Now take a pan heat the oil. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, turmeric powder, urda dal fry it for a second and add chopped onions to it. Leave it till it changes into golden brown colour.
2) Keep it in a medium flame and covers with the lid. Now add crushed garlic to it. Mix well until it changes its raw smell. Now you can add chopped French beans to it. Mix well with the mixture. You can also add coconut powder and add some water to mix the masala with the beans.
3) Cover it with lid and keep the flame in medium until it is cooked completely.
4) Add coriander leaves and switch off the flame. Mix it again and now serve with hot rice or roti.
